Zi On dear
Ma say to you with a hug, “Son, I love you!”
“Ma, I love you too!” This is your response.
I remember your voice so gentle so true. I hear you say again today.
I hear you say : “Ma how are you?”
“Son, I am fine, but son, I miss you, I miss you, I miss you, I miss you!”
I miss you, son and I love you,
Ma

I will not doubt
In loving memory of Kerk Zi On
Because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.
2 Timothy 1:12
A Steadfast Anchor in the Storms of Life
I will not doubt, I will believe
I will not doubt, though all my ships at sea
Come drifting home with broken masts and sails;
I will believe the Hand that never fails,
From seeming evil works to good for me.
And though I weep because those sails are tattered,
Still will I cry, while best hopes lie shattered:
“I trust in Thee.”
I will not doubt, though all my prayers return
Unanswered from the still, while realm above;
I will believe it is an all-wise love
That has refused these things for which I yearn;
And though at times I cannot keep from grieving,
Yet the pure passion of my fixed believing
Undimmed will burn.
I will not doubt, though sorrows fall like rain,
And troubles swarm like bees about a hive.
I will believe the heights for which I strive
Are only reached by anguish and by pain;
And though I groan and writhe beneath my crosses,
Yet I will see through my severest losses
The greatest gain.
I will not doubt. Well anchored is this faith,
Like some staunch ship, my soul braves every gale;
So strong its courage that it will not fail
To face the mighty unknown sea of death.
Oh, may I cry, though body leaves the spirit,
“I do not doubt,” so listening worlds may hear it,
With my last breath.

A Steadfast Anchor
In fierce storms we must do one thing, for there is only one way.
Only one course remains: you must put your soul in one position and keep it there.
You must anchor yourself steadfastly upon the Lord.
And then, come what may-whether wind, waves, rough sea, thunder, lighting, jagged rocks, or roaring breakers-
You must lash yourself to the helm, firmly holding your confidence in God’s faithfulness, His covenant promises, and His everlasting love in Christ Jesus.

Sea Is Stilled
Dear Zi On
We read your diary again and reflect on your thoughts. You taught us what is faith. Your faith in Jesus has carried you through the storms, the waves, the winds and led you to be with your Saviour from that moment on and forever, safe in His dwelling place. And one day we will see you again.
With much love,
Pa, Ma and Zi Lu on your Second Anniversary

KERK ZI ON’S DEVOTIONAL DIARY
Date: 14/8/2007
Reading : Matt. 8: 23-27
“Sea Is Stilled”
“Lord Save us we are perishing!” (v25)
“……Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” (v26)
He arose & rebuked the winds & the sea, and there was great calm,
“…….. even the winds & sea obey Him!” (v27)
Notes:
Can one ask God to rebuke the elements?
Especially since Jesus said to His disciples,
“why are you fearful, you of little faith”
Implying that there is nothing to fear & we can ask God through prayer to even calm nature.
Or is this lesson from Jesus to his disciples & current believers
to send the message not to fear anything rather the miracle itself, as long as we have Jesus.
Why am I fearful, O me of little faith?
Jesus as I’m with You, be with me now.

Matt 8:23-27 (NKJV)
23 ¶ Now when He got into a boat, His disciples followed Him.
24 And suddenly a great tempest arose on the sea, so that the boat was covered with the waves. But He was asleep.
25 Then His disciples came to Him and awoke Him, saying, "Lord, save us! We are perishing!"
26 But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.
27 So the men marveled, saying, "Who can this be, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?"

Time is not measured
Time is not measured
By the years that you live
But by the deeds that you do
And the joy that you give
And each day that you live
With a smile on your face
You brighten the lives of those around
And make the world a better place
And as the time flies by
Ever closer you draw to God
More and more like Jesus
Your Creator, Saviour and Lord
For life is not measured
By how many years you live
But how you love to the fullest
Your all to God you give

The three little “friends” with a message
Zi On kept three little hand painted toys, each with a message he believed in and shared with his friends. Now on his second anniversary, as we remember him, we share a glimpse of what he believed in and let these messages encourage our hearts as we go on our life’s journeys.
A Cat with a message of LOVE
Love
Love encourages dreams
It gives each spirit a lift,
More precious than gold
It’s life greatest gift.
A Bear with a message of COMFORT
Comfort
When times are tough
I’ll be here
With a welcoming hug
and a friendly ear.
A Lamb with a message of PRAYER
Prayer
Before you sleep each night,
Tell the Lord goodnight.
He listens to every prayer
and keeps you in his care.
Sharing these thoughts with you to cheer you all the way,
